Tutoring

You'll benefit from a professional staff of highly qualified instructors. Our student tutoring program is based on comprehensive and current researched strategies and designed specifically focused on teaching the "whole student". New students learn and begin practicing ten(10) core academic areas that are eseential for academic success in any subject area. Subject specific tutoring is intergrated with each session.

We are able to offer professional tutoring at a significantly lower price than the industries standard because of our non-profit status, outside donations and low overhead. One on one and small group appointments are available weekdays after school and some Saturdays.

Meet Your Tutoring Leaders

LISA A. has served hundreds of youth through teaching, tutoring and counseling. She is a certified teacher and has an earned BA in elementary/special education. She has a masters degree in school counseling from the University of Iowa. She has 14 years of experience teaching school including 6 years oversees in Japan. Her tutoring experiences include working with at-risk children, reading intervention and special education. Lisa enjoys serving in her local church teaching kids, singing and volunteering with the Special Olympics and Havitat for Humanity.

JOEL P. brings a higher level mathmatics background. He is currently taking 7th-early college students.

ANN V. has a degree in education from Drake University and served as a corporate trainer and adult instructional designer for a large local business. Additionally, Ann home schooled her two children and tutored many students in a variety of school subjects over the past 20 years. Ann welcomes the opportunity to provide support to families through tutoring students.

We have additional tutors who offer a variety of strengths in specific subject areas.
